Andrew Heisler

Vice President Commercial Analytics & Portfolio Management

As Vice President of Commercial Analytics and Portfolio Management, Andrew holds executive responsibility for overseeing Commercial Analytics, Portfolio Management, and Commercial Services.

Andrew joined the Emera group of companies in 2004, initially working in NSPI Finance, Emera Corporate, and NSPI Fuels, before moving to Emera Energy in 2010. Over nearly a decade with Emera Energy Finance, Andrew advanced through a series of senior roles, including a four-year tenure as Controller. He also played a key role in integrating Northeast Wind, Brooklyn Power, and the New England Gas Generating Facilities.

In 2020, Andrew transitioned to a new position as Director of Portfolio Management, where he was responsible for helping the business transform its real-time reporting and risk assessment of the portfolio.  In 2022, he assumed leadership of the Commercial Analytics team and was recently appointed to his current role in January 2025. Andrew is known for his exceptional leadership, financial expertise, and ability to simplify complex challenges.

A proud native of Halifax, Andrew is a Chartered Professional Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University. He is also dedicated to Metro youth sports, coaching his two sons, Brody and Camden, with the Halifax Hawks Minor Hockey Association, Bedford Eagles Minor Basketball Association, and the Metro NFL Flag Football League.
